Court Avenue runs from the Polk County Courthouse straight to the Des Moines River, and this hoodie covers the whole stretch. The warehouses along the avenue, the Warfield, Pratt and Howell block, the old Hawkeye Insurance building, built the neighborhood's character before the bars moved in. Court Avenue Brewing and Hessen Haus kept it going.
