Orchard District claims the east side of Bend, from the river parks to the base of Pilot Butte. This hoodie carries that ground on the chest.

The climb to the Pilot Butte Summit is a few hundred feet of cinder and switchbacks, and the view from the top is the whole city laid out west. If you've done it more than once, you already know this neighborhood is yours. The heather-gray fleece is heavy enough for a Central Oregon morning and cuts down well enough to wear past noon.
