Steve Smith, Sr. was a wide receiver for sixteen seasons in the National Football League (NFL), primarily with the Carolina Panthers, also playing for the Baltimore Ravens. He played college football for the Utah Utes, and was selected by the Panthers in the third round of the 2001 NFL Draft. After retiring from the NFL, Smith became a sports analyst and show host for NFL Network.
Smith, a five-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time All-Pro, emerged as one of the NFL's most productive wide receivers of the 21st century, leading the league in catches, receiving yards, and touchdowns in 2005.
Established in 2013, Steve and Angie Smith set out to create an organization that would allow their entire family to give back to the community. The Steve Smith Family Foundation focuses on the mental health and wellness of families and underserved communities, through several notable programs and events and the Smith Family Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center.
704 Shop has partnered with the Steve Smith Family Foundation on several occasions, including the induction of Smith to the Carolina Panthers Hall of Honor, to design and release limited edition shirts to raise funds and awareness for the Foundation.
